The Growers Behind the Fire

At SpiceQuest, we are proud to work with growers whose curiosity keeps pulling them deeper into the world of rare and remarkable peppers. Shogun Peppers began with that same spark: a love of gardening, a little extra room to grow, and the desire to see what might happen next.

The story started in a modest apartment backyard garden. As the garden expanded and more vegetables found their way into the soil, peppers became the real obsession. A few familiar varieties led to superhots. Superhots led to rare cultivars, unusual crosses, and the constant search for one more plant worth growing.

Before long, there were far more pepper plants than any one household could reasonably need. But there was also a discovery waiting beyond the garden: thousands of people shared the same fascination with unusual peppers, extreme heat, and the stories behind each variety.

Already farmers at heart and in practice, the growers behind Shogun Peppers decided to turn that passion into something bigger. What began as a personal growing project became a farm built to share uncommon peppers with a wider community.

The Deadpool Connection

Shogun Peppers supplied the Deadpool peppers used in an upcoming SpiceQuest limited edition. The harvested pepper was independently tested by HPLC at 1,211,304 Scoville Heat Units, placing this batch firmly in superhot territory.

Their mission is as direct and unapologetic as the peppers they grow: “To spread the fire and burn the world with our hot peppers!”

That spirit is captured in the Shogun Peppers motto:
