Watermelon HotDots began as an experiment in restraint. We wanted to see what spicy candy could be if it focused on balance instead of bravado. Fruit that tastes like fruit. Heat that feels real, then lets go.
This is the mildest of the three HotDots flavors in the lineup, and the easiest place to start. For more heat, see Apple HotDots or Mango HotDots.
Flavor and Heat
Bright, familiar watermelon leads. The sweetness is clean and uncomplicated. A soft warmth follows, briefly, then moves on. Nothing spikes. Nothing lingers too long. The experience opens up, then clears.
The Pepper
The heat comes from RB003, a mild pepper chosen for flavor and control rather than intensity. This same pepper is also used in Mango HotDots, while Green Apple HotDots lean hotter with Mustard Primotalii.
The Collaboration
HotDots are made by Travis Brown of T’s WickedSpice in collaboration with SpiceQuest. Travis grows the peppers himself and produces the candy in small batches, bringing direct oversight from cultivation through final production. We worked together because we shared the same instinct for how sweetness and heat should meet. Each dot was shaped and adjusted until it felt right in the mouth and right in the moment.
The Format
Each pocket-sized metal tin contains 25 small hard candies, designed to be taken on the go and enjoyed one dot at a time.
